Back to the Park

Day 66 Monday 6th June 2011

Not wanting to go Downtown again and this being our last full day together we opted for a romantic stroll in the park. We sat on a bench in the sun and watched the little goslings learn how to dive below the water and then how to paddle away quickly as the heron swooped in to its favourite landing spot in the shade of a willow like tree which was casting a shadow over the water below its long spindly legs. It stood stone like for a long time but gave up eventually and took off leaving the carp to stick their fishy heads out of the water again.
Look carefully and you will see the heron

The park

The lawn bowling was in full swing behind us with the Chinese players dressed up in all sorts of white garb and face covers to ward off the cancerous effects of the sun’s rays. We popped over to the mall and had a Dairy Queen milkshake - probably my last taste of fast food for a while,
Suck !!

All very gentile and a lovely slow day which was rounded off by meeting up with Mark in the evening for a last supper at the Mad Greek restaurant just a block down the street from our hotel.
